TEXT

The next day, which is Monday, Cindy calls their doctor to make an appointment. She has been coughing for two weeks, which is too long in her opinion.

Assistant: Lakeview Health Clinic. This is Susan. How can I help you?
Cindy: Hello! This is Cindy Shaw. I’d like to make an appointment to see Dr. Johnson.
Assistant: All right. Why do you need to see the doctor?
Cindy: I have been coughing for two weeks and my ears hurt.
Assistant: Let’s see. Could you come in tomorrow morning at 8:45?
Cindy: Yes, that sounds good. Thank you very much!
Assistant: See you tomorrow morning, then! Bye-bye!

Exercise 4.1

My Appointment

Now you want to make an appointment. Make up a reason why you must see the doctor as soon as possible. Think of some details you want to say when you make the phone call. Then record your part of the call here. As is the case with many voice mails, you have about a minute to record your message. Save the sound file in the box below.

(Nyt sinä haluat varata ajan. Keksi jokin syy, miksi sinun täytyy päästä lääkäriin mahdollisimman pian.  Äänitä sitten oma osuutesi keskustelusta äänitiedostoksi omalle koneellesi. Tallenna tiedosto sen jälkeen Muikkuun.)
Tehtävä arvioidaan arvosanalla 4-10.
